Elida’s Reggie McAdams verbally committed to play basketball for NCAA Division I University of Akron in Akron, Ohio.
Kenton’s Maty Mauk verbally committed to play football at NCAA Division I University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri. Mauk chose Missouri over the University of Illinois, University of Notre Dame and the University of Michigan, among others.
Shawnee’s Sami Bullock, Shelby Lucas and Brittany Lauck were all voted to the 1st Team on the OHSFSCA Coaches Association All-Ohio Teams. St. Marys’ Erika Thornsberry was voted 2nd Team All-Ohio. Bath’s Camille Martin and Wapakoneta’s Taylor Rupert were both voted Honorable Mention All-Ohio.
The Western Buckeye League would like to announce that the Bulldogs of Celina High School have won the 2010-11 All Sports Trophy, edging out Shawnee High School by one point. The award is based on where each league school finishes in all recognized WBL sports. The Western Buckeye League currently awards 18 championships in 12 different sports. This will be Celina’s 14th all sports trophy and their 6th in the last 10 years.
Celina’s Nate Bihn will continue his education and play basketball for NCAA Division III Bluffton University in Bluffton, Ohio.
St. Marys’ grad Trevor Kill who graduated in 2009 committed to play baseball at NCAA Division I Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Kill played 2 years at Butler Community College.

Player of Year: Anthony Kidston, Defiance
Player of the Year: Sam Bullock, Shawnee
Former Bath Coach Gretchen Prichard and Bath grad Amy Prichard will be inducted into the Ohio Basketball Hall of Fame on 5/21. Gretchen Prichard coached for 31 years and posted 485 wins including the 1987 State Championship and 1996 State Runner-Up teams. Her daughter Amy played 1975 to 1979 at Bath where she was All-Ohio and a Parade All-American. She went on to play Northwestern University where she scored over 1,500 points and was an honorable mention All-American.
